Women have had a significant role in the progress of the country.
The head of Amirkabir University of Technology emphasized that women have achieved a good position after the victory of the Islamic Revolution. He stated that if we compare the status and position of women before the revolution, we will see that they have now gained a good position in all social scenes, managerial and executive areas, and have shown good potential and capacity. This shows that contrary to what is claimed in the Western world, this part of society has had a good share in the progress of the country.
He also mentioned the most important activities of the university in the research field and emphasized that they conduct two main activities in the university, educational and research. He pointed out that research activities did not have a special place about 30 or 40 years ago in comparison to today's situation. Currently, indicators of research have a significant and determining position nationally and internationally. He also emphasized the need for support services for research activities.
In conclusion, the head of Amirkabir University of Technology highlighted the need for providing necessary infrastructure and support services for research activities in order to utilize the results effectively.
Rahaei emphasized the importance of the role and efforts of all colleagues in supporting research activities at the university. He stated that the level of hope among students has decreased compared to the past, and that students who have been involved in research activities have faced various ups and downs in the course of the recent years. As a result, the level of hope among students has decreased, and the vitality and enthusiasm that existed in the past has disappeared. He highlighted the fact that students are the driving force of the university, and therefore, faculty members and others can create motivation among them.
Rahaei also mentioned that there were budget constraints in the university in the current year, but despite this, they are making every effort to provide better welfare facilities through every possible means. He added that despite the limitations in this regard in the current year, they are holding meetings with the Organization of Budget and Planning almost every week in order to obtain better allocations in the remaining two months of the year and to have a better outlook for the next year.
The role of research staff at Amirkabir University of Technology in achieving national and international successes
Dr. Mohammad Javad Aamiri Shahabi, the Vice President for Research and Technology at Amirkabir University of Technology, highlighted the scientific, research, and technological rankings of the university at the national and international levels. He stated that these achievements would not have been possible without the support and backing of the research staff at the university.
During the event, Dr. Aamiri Shahabi stated, "The actions taken in the field of research would not have been possible without the efforts of the research staff. It is true that students and professors carry out research and industrial activities, but without support and backing, their success would not have been achieved."
He also mentioned that according to the Deputy of Research at the Ministry of Science, Amirkabir University of Technology has executed the highest number of industrial projects, and the supporting team has played a crucial role in this regard.
Dr. Aamiri Shahabi emphasized that in the current year, the university achieved the first rank among the industrial universities in the country in the global rankings, including Leiden and Shanghai rankings, and secured the second position in QS and Times rankings.
Furthermore, he pointed out that in the ISC ranking of all industrial universities in the country, Amirkabir University of Technology has obtained the first rank, followed by Sharif University of Technology and Iran University of Science and Technology. This indicates that the university has had a significant position in global research rankings as well.
He added, "Furthermore, in the field of international patent registration, this university has also secured the first position.
The Vice President for Research and Technology at Amirkabir University of Technology stated, "In terms of the number of article registrations, this university was in the first position in the past year. Following us, were Sharif University of Technology, Iran University of Science and Technology, and Isfahan University of Technology. However, this year, we have taken the first position with a slight difference from Iran University of Science and Technology."
Aamiri attributed these achievements of Amirkabir University of Technology to the efforts of the research staff and said, "The exhibition held during the Research Week awarded the first place to the booth of Amirkabir University of Technology, demonstrating that the coordinators are performing their role excellently."
