The president of Amirkabir University of Technology announced the drafting of an artificial intelligence document by the university and stated: "We are drafting this document for a number of important sectors of the country, and we will carry out significant activities in the field of cognitive science development through several major contracts."
According to the public relations office of Amirkabir University of Technology, Dr. Alireza Rahaei emphasized during the closing ceremony of the sixth International Serious Games event, which was attended by the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance: "It makes me happy to be among a group of young people who are seriously addressing the country's problems. I hope that we also play a serious role in this regard."
He described today's world as a world of science and stated: "Today, the success and superiority of countries return to their position in terms of science and technology, and we can say that the Fourth Industrial Revolution guides life towards a life based on science and technology."
The president of Amirkabir University of Technology also recalled: "The Supreme Leader of the Revolution raised the issue of knowledge-based economy years ago, which led us to the discussion of the industry of knowledge-based economy. All these concepts promote activities based on science and technology, and we also need to learn to think in this direction."
Rahaei also pointed out: "Universities are intelligent engines of science, technology, and innovation, and if we consider these centers as a reference and a reference maker, this environment is considered as a home for all kinds of scientific activities."
He added: "We have 18 faculties and 22 research centers at Amirkabir University of Technology, which mainly operate in the technical and engineering fields required by the country. We have carried out major projects, for example, the Faculty of Computer Engineering and Information Technology is drafting an artificial intelligence document for a number of important sectors of the country and is conducting important activities in the field of cognitive science development through several major contracts. At the same time, in the Ministry of Science, we are also drafting a national artificial intelligence document."
Rahaei stated that to some extent, we are lagging behind the world in the field of artificial intelligence and said: "We need to make very rapid progress in this area to compensate for this lag and be in a proper position."
According to the university professor, what the country is known for in the Middle East is that we had a 55-step leap in the past decade, and all officials, including the Supreme Leader, emphasize that we should pursue a scientific basis in the country, so that knowledge-based companies and knowledge-based economy are our main goals.
The president of Amirkabir University of Technology pointed out: "Based on the latest statistics published from 2017 to 2020, this university has achieved the top rank in terms of international patent registrations among the country's universities. Additionally, it has also achieved the second rank in national patent registrations."
The head of Amirkabir University of Technology emphasized: "As a collection of scientific, technical, and engineering educational programs, we strive to achieve a real position at the national, regional, and international levels. In this regard, the discussion of scientific production and the development of industrial activities, along with the implementation of research projects based on the country's needs, are among our main goals."

Universities and various industries were tasked to participate in these projects. Our university participated in 16 major national projects and played a central role. Currently, Amirkabir University of Technology also declares its readiness for comprehensive cooperation in the development of intellectual games, which will lead to the advancement of the country and scientific development."
